Chiropractor in Airdrie : Dr. Ryan Lees

I graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with clinical honors in 1990 and have been practicing in Airdrie ever since.

Airdrie, Alberta chiropractor, Dr. Ryan Lees

Hi, I'm Dr. Lees. Thanks for stopping by and having a look at what we're all about!

After graduating from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, and early on in my professional life, I realized there were better ways to look after people with low back pain. I was exposed to a technique called Cox-Flexion Distraction, after the developer of the technique, Dr. James Cox. I was trained and certified by Dr. Cox himself and have been using it with great success ever since. This chiropractic technique requires a specially designed adjusting table and is extremely well researched and highly effective, even for the most difficult problems like acute disc herniation.

Continued Education

More recently, I completed a 100 hour course in chiropractic clinical neurology at the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. I can't really tell you how excited I am about the things I have learned. I gained a deeper understanding of the causes of spinal problems but also of learning disabilities, chronic fatigue, depression, and Parkinson's to name a few. The really exciting thing is the dramatic impact we can have on those conditions by employing innovative yet simple approaches for rehabilitation.

Neurological Rehabilitation Gym

That course prompted me to expand our Airdrie chiropractic facility by creating a neurological rehabilitation gym. Our gym includes unique equipment for balance training, core strengthening, increasing brain processing speed, accelerated strength training and postural correction. Consider yourself invited to come by for a tour!

It is important to remember the big picture of why we look after our health. Ultimately, we do it so we can live! Keeping in mind what is important to you; your family, your faith, your friends, your passions, is a vital part of a healthy brain and overall good health.

Outside the office

You may be interested to know that I, my family, and my staff strive to do exactly what we recommend for you. I get chiropractic adjustments regularly and take care of my family that way as well. I also enjoy our gym by working out regularly. My favorite pieces of equipment are the Spineforce and the balance platform. I also like tuning up my brain on the interactive metronome. We will be happy to explain what these are all about when you come by.

I have four boys that I'm trying to raise right and a wife who I would be rather lost without. At varying times I like playing my guitar, fly-fishing, golfing and curling. And lately I have felt the urge to write. We'll see how that plays out.

When you come to see us, we want you to be happy with that decision. You can expect to be treated as I would want to be treated. I hope we get a chance to work together.
